Latest News - Aged Care Access Initiative (ACAI) Referrals now being accepted

We are pleased to announce that we will be accepting new referrals for the Aged Care Access Initiative effective from November 28th, 2011.

New program guidelines were released by the Department of Health and Ageing in August 2011 which included changes that impact on our service model and the types of referrals we have previously accepted.  Clarification has been requested and until this clarification has been received we will only be able to accept referrals for Low Care Residents. No high care resident referrals (following an acute event) can be accepted at this point in time.

Referrals for residents assessed as Low Care will be accepted from General Practitioners for access to 10 hours of therapy for the following services:

     -  Dietetics
     -  Occupational Therapy
     -  Nurse Wound Consultant
     -  Physiotherapy
     -  Psychology
     -  Speech Pathology
